This Week's Flashback
Great emotions at the FIS Alpine World Cup races in Are.
On Saturday Lindsey Vonn continued her domination of the 2015-16 season by winning the giant slalom, the fourth victory of her career in the discipline. It's surely one of the best moments in the career of the American champion and we had the honour to greet her after the race (Thanks Lindsey!). Austrian Eva-Maria Brem finished second, 0.07 seconds behind and discipline leader Federica Brignone was third, 0.35 behind.
On Sunday the Swedish course staged the first World Cup win for 20-year-old Petra Vlhova. The Slovakian talent took the slalom victory with a first run of 51.70 that put her in a strong position and her second run of 52.56 was good enough to see off home athlete Frida Hansdotter who finished second, 0.59 behind.
But Are wasn't only the stage of thrilling races...
Ski lovers had the chance to enjoy their best moment of the day in the Jacuzzi J-480 hot tub located in the VIP area and we also honoured our local dealer FolkPool with the Jacuzzi award for being the Best New Entry 2015.
Thanks to everyone who followed our behind-the-scene tour on social media, from the morning recognition on the slopes to the visit at the TV studios in the trucks.
See you at the next race!
